With movies like Memories of Murder and Parasite on his resume, Song Kang-ho is an actor who I simply love to watch. Couple that with Lee Byung-hun (Squid Game, The Magnficent Seven), and a movie like Emergency Declaration is a no brainer to watch. It hits theaters August 12, and the trailer is featured in our post.
Directed by Han Jae-rim (The King), Emergency Declaration centers on a terrorist threat that goes affects the passengers aboard an international flight headed to the United States. Lee Byung-hun is one of the people whose lives are in danger, and from the looks of the trailer Song Kang-ho is investigating this potentially deadly virus on the ground.
Check out my podcast interviews with Alice Krige (She Will) and Gone in the Night director Eli Horowitz and John Gallagher Jr. Listen to CinemAddicts on Spotify:
Jean Do-yeon (The Housemaid, Secret Sunshine), Kim Nam-gil (Those Who Read the Hearts of Evil), Kim So-jin (The King) and Im Si-wan (Run On, Misaeng) round out the ensemble.
The trailer looks as tense as can be, and considering the level of actors around, this is one flick I plan to watch.
Tell us if Emergency Declaration will be a movie you will watch when it opens August 12!
