The Childe, starring Kim Seon-ho and Kim Kang-woo, hits digital and Blu-ray January 16 via Well Go USA Entertainment. The picture is directed by Park Hoon-jung, the first rate filmmaker behind The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion and The Witch Part 2: The Other One.
The movie centers on an amateur boxer (newcomer Kang Tae-ju) who is desperate to find funds for his mom’s surgery. His search leads him from his native Philippinees to Korea where he meets his estranged father.Â
What starts out as a quest for money leads to a perilous mission. An assassin (Kim Seon-ho), a family member (Kim Kang-woo) and a mysterious woman (Go A-ra) all play an integral role in the boxer’s fate.
