Filmmaker Ryan Kruger made a big splash in 2021 with “Fried Barry,” and now he is back with an equally effective, futuristic melt movie tale “Street Trash.” Kruger talked to CinemAddicts co-host Eric Holmes about his feature.
Set in the year 2050, “Street Trash” centers on a group of homeless friends whose lives are threatened after the local government comes up with a plan to wipe out their community. Set in Cape Town, South Africa, the picture stars Sean Cameron Michael, Donna Cormack-Thomson, and “Fried Barry” vet Gary Green.
During the interview, Kruger also talks about his background as an actor (he will next be seen in “The Fix”) and breaks down the origins of “Street Trash.”
Check out “Street Trash” on Digital starting November 19!! We’ll be reviewing the movie this week on CinemAddicts (I loved it and assuming Eric did as well).
