Although Eric Holmes and I had vastly different opinions on The Banished, this Australian folk horror led to a lengthy discussion about its eye opening third act. The movie is currently in theaters stateside and is also available On Demand. If you gave this movie a shot and are still trying to figure it out, maybe our spoilers talk will shed a little light!

Grace Jennings (Meg Eloise-Clarke), is a young woman who is searching for her missing brother. With her father recently deceased, Grace is understandably shaken and she hires her former high school teacher Mr. Green (Leighton Cardno) to help her search. Ultimately Mr. Green goes off on his own, and Grace must finish the rest of her journey all by her lonesome.

Out in the middle of the woods, Grace believes her brother might be part of a cult. Or maybe there is some supernatural element that is pulling her deeper into the unknown?
