Hitting theaters September 19, London Calling centers on Tommy Ward (Josh Duhamel), a hitman who teaches Julian (Jeremy Ray Taylor), the son of a mob boss (Rick Hoffman), the tricks of the trade. Best known for his work on the It movies, Taylor has a meaty role in London Calling, and he talked to CinemAddicts about his latest project.

The picture, which also stars Aidan Gillen (The Wire) as a UK crime boss seeing revenge on Tommy (Josh Duhamel), was directed and co-written by Allan Ungar. Duhamel and Ungar previously worked together on 2022’s Bandit.

“Allan and Josh were very collaborative and so we all got to discuss exactly what would go down in each scene,” said Jeremy Ray Taylor. Because some things that make sense on paper don’t necessarily make sense when you’re actually acting them out. Everybody was very collaborative and open to getting it done.”

Now transitioning into more adult roles, Taylor welcomed his London Calling role. “This movie gave me an opportunity to put what I’ve been practicing off camera,” said Taylor. “It wasn’t necessarily that I picked up anything from (shooting London Calling). This was my chance to show off what I’m capable of and what I want to do with my career.”
