Shelter - Daniel Smith for Black Bear

On the latest CinemAddicts, I reviewed and recommended Jason Statham’s latest film Shelter.  Eric Holmes is a fan of director Ric Roman Waugh (Eric loved National Champions), so ultimately he will catch Shelter (if he didn’t already).

Before the Shelter review began, we discussed why we will always watch movies starring Dermot Mulroney, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, and Stephen Dorff. Eric does me one better, as he makes a case for why he loves Adkins more than Statham.

Listen to my Shelter review on Podbean. Other reviews include Grizzly Night and The Guest:

Shelter centers Mason (Statham), a loner living on a Scottish island who is ultimately discovered by a corrupt and powerful government agent (Bill Nighy). Bodhi Rae Breathnach is Jesse, a young girl who Mason protects as they are on the run from an assassin (Bryan Vigier) and a multitude of military operatives.

Listen to my Shelter review on Spotify. Co-host Bruce Purkey also reviews the Fuerteventura set film noir Islands:

Written by Ward Perry, Shelter has amassed over $13.1 million worldwide ($5.5 million stateside). The movie also stars Naomi Ackie, Tom Wu and Daniel Mays.
